When one watches the live-action Disney films you have to go in with no expectations. Expecting them to be exactly live the original will most likely lead to disappointment. That being said, this version of Mulan is beautiful.
It's closer to the original legend of Mulan, staying true to the culture. It has its serious moments and funny moments. There are great action scenes that pay tribute to classic king fu movies and a beautiful score by Harry Gregson-Williams. Great cast. I'm very happy with this film and I highly recommend that every Mulan fan see this one.

The kindest words I can give to this movie is maybe the movie magic was lacking because I watched it at home.
Nah. Even as an Asian, this movie was hollow. It's a disgrace to the original.
